About the Auction
Purpose of the Auction:
Parents, staff, students and friends of Forcey
Christian and Forcey Christian Middle Schools donate their talents,
treasures and time every two years to host a Silent Auction and
Benefit Dinner. This event provides much-needed money for
the schools as well as a time of fun and fellowship for everyone
involved.
Previous Auction Successes:
We raised approximately $25,000 dollars at our
first auction (2005) and hope to raise an even more substantial
amount of money to benefit both schools with technology upgrades
and new furniture. Already this year, our "Change Makes Sense" program,
which involves our children bringing in change to help offset the
cost of their teachers' tickets, raised $3,800 this year, more
than twice as much as the $1,600 total of the 2005 program.
Coordination:
A group of parents from both schools make up the
Auction Committee. These members volunteer their time and
efforts beginning one year prior to the event.
Guidelines for the Auction:
As both schools are supported by Forcey Memorial
Church, the auction will be conducted in an atmosphere of fun and
wholesome entertainment. We will not be serving alcohol or providing
dancing or raffles.
